The role

Senior Systems Engineer / Technical Lead — a hands-on senior seat, not a ticket-queue role. You’ll own the complex escalations, lead client migrations and onboarding projects, and be the person junior technicians come to when they’re stuck. You’ll know our clients by name, and they’ll know you.

What you’ll do

• Own Tier 3 escalations across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Lead client onboarding and migration projects, including multi-site work
• Own backup and disaster recovery, plus security incident response
• Mentor junior technicians and raise the bar on team documentation
• Be a trusted technical advisor to clients — including telling them what they need to hear

What you bring

• 5+ years in an MSP or client-facing IT services role — living in a ticketing system, juggling multiple clients, documenting as you go
• Deep, hands-on Microsoft stack: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows Server
• Solid networking and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) skills
• Backup/DR ownership experience
• Clear, confident communication with non-technical customers
• A strong work ethic — this is a high-volume shop with a lot going on, and the team counts on each other

Location & flexibility

Primarily onsite in the Birmingham metro area. We’re open to flexibility on the in-office mix for the right person.
